When I'm running a BOI script does that use one of the user licenses for Sage? Does ODBC use one as well? Also, how do I find out how many users our license has?

ODBC does not use a license. In MAS go to File, Run and type in *INFO.
So I'm assuming BOI does?
The BOI connection does use a license. However, if there is already a Sage 100 ERP process running that BOI can attach to it will use that license and not a new one. The one issue with this is that Windows Security, etc. could prevent BOI from attaching to the currently running process but that is small risk.

So if I have the UI running, BOI can attach to that process, or only other BOI processes?
Yes, any UI launched from Sage 100 ERP is included.

A follow up question on this: if a BOI script is set to run from task scheduler on a windows server, can it still use an open session of Sage 100 on that server? Is there a recommended way to do this when a BOI script must be automated?
Greetings,
I haven't tested that but I don't think it should matter if the task is scheduled. I would expect the BOI script to still attempt to attach to a current process if there is one available.
Thanks,
Kent
Hello,
I have some issues integrating BOI with Sage 100. I am new to Sage and don't find any document to integrate and configure BOI with Sage 100 ERP 2018.
Any help will be appreciate?
Thanks
Have you taken the BOI class in Sage U? That is the best place to start plus you get documentation. There is also documentation posted in various post in the BOI section of this forum by Elliott
