search by AR contact

Question

We have a customer with a lot of entities and locations with the same bill to. Within these locations, there are many contacts. So we have customers calling, stating they are with XYZ and we don't know which ship to location is related to which bill to (they all have the same bill to). We could figure it out if we could search on the contact. There are many contacts for each bill to. 
 Anyone know how to do this?

If you place your contact information within each ship to location you can use Access and ODBC to connect to your SO Ship to Address data files and search from there.

Are you in the midst of Sales Order entry when you need to identify the Ship to address? Where do you store the contact name? in the ship to address or in the contact table? I'd think in this case, you'd want it in the ship to address line 1 or something so you can add it to your lookup window.

Maybe use National accounts in the AR Set Up. It allows a parent company to be the main bill to but each "ship to" can be a child company?
