Sage Bank Feeds - Information on it's use.

Anyone been successfully using this or found any good information about it?

I've been wanting to understand it better before unleashing it on my clients but partner unlocking keys don't seem to be able to access it so I haven't been able to experiment with it myself (Sage is theoretically working on this).

In any event one of my clients contacted me this morning and indicated that their bank was warning them that on a daily basis someone has been accessing their online banking and downloading information early in the morning.  The client then changed their online banking password and shortly thereafter the account locked out because of invalid login attempts.

Sage Bank Feeds had been turned on for the account.  We turned it off and are waiting to see if the activity stops.

I have found very limited information on exactly how to use the Sage Bank feeds to be able to get an understanding of exactly how it operates.  It mostly revolves around setting it up and not how to use it once it is set up.

My understanding was that for the system to synchronize with the bank you had to actually tell it to do it.   I did not think that it was doing it automatically.

Browsing around in the system,  I really couldn't even find where you would trigger it to synchronize.

Is there somewhere that I haven't found that gives better information beyond how to initially set it up?

Hi, We are working on the following for Sage 100 Bank Feeds.

Changes to allow resellers the ability to demo the bank feeds functionality to clients.

    • This involves redirecting a demo to a URL other than the production system, allowing for NFR keys to hit this URL, creating demo data that can be used with the demo bank transactions

Updating the instructions/help/videos on both setup and product usage.

    Thanks
