Create a copy company and try it there first to see what happens?

I would but our data base is so big, it literally takes hours to make a copy, I was hoping someone knew the answer & if not, I will do this as a last resort. Thanks!

There is no "undo" for a data purge.  I'd not risk it.  What works for someone else might not be the same on your system.

My understanding is that there are three different status.

Active - usable

Inactive - prevents use but does not delete

Delete - prevents use -  when all activity and balances from prior years have been removed from history records (due to year end data retention settings) the account will be removed.
