Custom Report Printing

SOLVED

Apologies if this is not the correct category.  From time to time we receive the following error when attempting to do custom report printing.  The temp file is there.  The only fix seems to be rebooting the server and deleting the file.  Sage 100 will then operate normally again for a few days and then the problem will come back. Thank you.

    Resolution

Note: This error is more likely to occur in Sage 100 Advanced, but may also occur in Sage 100 Standard.

    1. Get all users out of Sage 100
      • If on Sage 100 Advanced, stop the Application or Service
    2. Stop (using Task Manager, End Task) any remaining Pvxwin32.exe processes on the server
    3. Rename the SY_Workstation.m4t file in "..\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM" where Sage 100 is installed.
    4. Reboot the Sage 100 server if error still exists
    5. Log back into Sage 100 and try again.
      • If on Sage 100 Advanced, start the Application or Service first

    If the Issue persists:

    • A user/workstation-specific tmp file in "..\MAS90\Home\Textout" may be locked by another process.
      1. Get all users out of Sage 100
        • If on Sage 100 Advanced, stop the Application or Service
      2. At the server, open Task Manager, Processes tab, and find any remaining Pvxwin32.exe processes still running.
      3. Right-click on each Pvxwin32.exe process, select End Process.
    • The user may have insufficient network rights. Sage 100 users must have full rights to the ..\MAS90 directory and all sub-directories. For details, see Installation Guide.
    • The SY0CTL.soa file, in "..\MAS90\SOA\" where Sage 100 is installed, may be damaged
      • Repair or replace SY0CTL.soa
    • For Sage 100 Standard editions, the ..\MAS90 folder might be mapped to such that the workstation sees only the sub-directories of "..\MAS90".
      1. Remove the share from the \MAS90\ directory, and share the drive or a parent directory above "..\MAS90".
        • Example: With "C:\Apps\MAS90", share either "C:\" or "Apps" as a drive letter, with Full Control permissions. Do not share "MAS90" as a drive letter
      2. Remap the workstations to the new share point.
      3. Reinstall Workstation Setup on all workstations.
