Departmentalize Chart of Accounts

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to implementing a departmentalized chart of accounts in Sage 100? We are looking to break out accounts into 3 different department, but also have the capability of running a summary chart of accounts as well.

Depending on how you have set up your chart of accounts, I think you should be able to filter your chart of accounts report by department.

We use department 00 as the corp/top level.

Yes, Sage 100 allows for segmented GL Accounts. Be sure to talk about this with your Sage Partner because such changes cannot be undone, and you want to make sure to get things right on the first try.

Thank you, I believe we would do something in this manner. Did you add a department for all TB accounts or just Income Statement Accounts?
