Do you know for sure that they have an extended description?  If the description is 30 characters or less, the icon will not be lit.

Yes, there are 139 characters in the description that I'm looking at currently.

So the whole desc prints on the order or invoice form?

Normally, yes. The whole description was originally entered on the sales order and purchase order, but disappeared when looking at the invoice via invoice history inquiry.

Where did the extended description get entered originally?

If it was entered in Sales Order, that should carry over to S/O Invoice and into A/R Invoice History.   I don't know if the description was entered in Purchase Order for a Sales Order Item if that would carry through to A/R Invoice History.
