I need to change which Account Group a couple of GL Accounts are located in. I first went into GL/Setup/Main Account Maintenance to make this change, but I get an error message stating:

"This account group has been assigned to a main account used on an account that has transactions posted. The account group cannot be changed to a new account group that contains a different category."

I then went to GL/Setup/Account Group Maintenance so that I could change the Category of the Account Group that I am moving the Main Account from to match the Category of the Account Group that I am moving the Main Account to (I planned on changing this back after the move), but when I try to change the category, I get the following error message:

"This account group has been assigned to a main account. The category cannot be changed."

Is there any other way of moving my Main Accounts to a different Account Group? The only other option I can think of is to create new Main Accounts in the correct Account Group and enter GL Adjustments to move the balances over. The only problem that I have with that is that the history doesn't move with it.
