Cash Receipts Tabbing of Fields

Just upgraded a customer from 4.4 to 2016, standard. In cash receipts in 4.4 the system goes from customer to invoice number. In 2016 it goes from customer to check number. I checked the tabbing thru customizer and it shows customer, then invoice number. Is programming overriding this sequence?

Yes, programming overrides the tab sequence. You can leave the customer number blank, press ENTER or TAB, the focus will go to the invoice number field. Once you enter an invoice number, the system will find it in open invoice or history tables and populate the customer number field. There is no need to enter customer number before invoice number.
