You should be able to pull the existing data into Excel, clear the memo file to delete all records in Sage.  Then, delete/clean up the memo data in Excel.  Finally, import the revised memo data using Visual Integrator.  Try this in a test company first and make a backup of the customer memo file before you try it in your live company.

As mentioned below, to clear the file, use the Reinitialize Data Files utility.  Be very careful with this utility, because it is designed to clear all records from the files you select.
