error# 106 CI_PurgeItemHistory_UI. Sage100 2015. computer was interrupted during inventory purge item history.

Computer was interrupted when the purge item history inventory utility was running. Received this error message when attempting to restart the process. Don't see this file in the rebuild key files list. Could someone please point us in the right direction for what to do next?

1. Go to the Sage Customer Portal
2. Go to the Knowledge Base
3. Enter in Error 106, search

There are a lot of entries, most suggest rebuilding key files, some suggest renaming and recreating the file. Read through the entries.

Before running utilities of this nature it's always a good idea to do a backup before running them just in case you have these kind of situations.

I'm assuming you don't have a backup since you are asking here.

As per BL, it's likely going to be rebuilding key files and sort files. Probably not a bad idea to do an additional backup before doing the rebuild files just in case it makes things worse.

Thanks for your advice Big Louie and Tom. We rebuilt the 3 inventory history key files and were able to successfully run the purge utility.
