There are no templates available; however, the client's Sage reseller should be able to get you started on the import job in an hour or less.  Basically, you need to import into the SO_SalesOrderHeader table.  CSV is the format that has always worked best for me.  Setting up the job can be a challenge if you've never done it before, which is why an hour call with your reseller is the best option.

You can easily import with VI and you can also call the VI job from anther application easily, I have done it with Access databases. Any decent reseller could setup the VI in an hour or less.
