Warehouse Transfer and Picking Sheets

Is there really no other way to transfer inventory from one warehouse to the other than by using the transaction entry utility? Our issue is that we need a "picking sheet" or some form that has the bin locations to help workers pick the necessary items. Then it would be helpful to have another "picking sheet" (more like a placing sheet) with bin locations, showing workers where to place the items in warehouse B.

This seems like a no-brainer to me. Is it really possible that sage doesn't allow this very logical function?

I don't know of anything in the standard version of Sage 100 that will do what you need.  One of our end-users went with Scanco's InTransit enhancement. I think it used to be owned by ASG. This is an over simplified explanation but it handles transfers through SO and PO.  So you 'sell' the items out of one warehouse and receive them into a second warehouse.  Because it uses SO it allows you to print picking sheets, and in PO it allows your users to receive the goods and decide which bins to place them in the second warehouse.  It might be more robust than you need but that was one good solution.  No GL postings occur unless the warehouses have different inventory accounts.

Had to do something like this in the past.  It was not the ideal solution, but when the client entered in transfer information, BEFORE they updated the transfer entry, they printed out a custom crystal report that had the items listed in a pick sheet format.  In theory a second sheet could be created for the put away ability.  Again, this is not ideal, but something done previously.
