Sage 100c 2018 API Documentation

SOLVED

Hello, I am working on an application for SAGE 100c for inventory and order management. I just need to be able to do basic functions such as pull-down product data and create orders for the customers. If anyone could provide examples or documentation that would be amazing. Thank you.

ODBC is the most common way to get info from Sage 100 from within a domain/network.

There is a very outdated component called SData which has not been updated for several years now and i believe it is being phased out or at least not going to receive any future updates.

This year, Sage did announce that they have been partnering with Microsoft and PowerApps to release a Connector that can be used by Microsoft's platform which is as close to a restful API that i have seen however there have been licensing issues that still need to be worked out. Last i heard, Microsoft made Sage's Connector a premium one which will likely hurt its early adoption rate.

I got to experiment with it for a little bit and it looks promising but i believe the license issues need to be worked out before Sage releases it to the general public.

The other approach is to use the Business Object Interface (BOI) to pull data from Sage 100 but this requires execution within a network/domain that can access the Sage 100 server installation. You can find documentation on the objects here under "Object Reference"
