Sage 100 Standard can easily be installed on a laptop; however, this should be a short-term solution unless you have a single user license.

For best reliability, use a data center to host your system (connecting to it remotely), where they have offsite backups and the loss of any one machine doesn't become a disaster.

You would need work with your reseller to determine your best course of action. You did not mention what level of Sage 100 you are on or what version. Your options change greatly based on version.
