Serialized device floating in limbo.

SOLVED

I was in the middle of Transferring two Serialized Devices from one Warehouse to another. While in the middle of this sage crashed. Now when I go back in the devices still say they are in the same warehouse but they are not available. How do I fix this?

If you didn't click "Yes" to updating the Transaction Register, the entries will should still be in Transaction Entry.

If Transaction Entry is blank, try running Rebuild Sort Files on IM.

I never clicked yes nor did I clear the batch. It's like they are floating in limbo. I am a beginner to this Sage and am still learning. What is a rebuild sort file and what does this do.

It sounds like you were still entering the Transaction, with a crash after assigning inventory (marking it as committed), but before clicking Accept to save.

Rebuild Sort Files is a utility in the Library Master module.

Running this utility choosing the IM module prompts to recalculate lot/serial committed quantities, which is exactly what you want to do here.

If that doesn't work, you'll need assistance from whoever supports your Sage 100 system.
