What is your Parent Item Costing Method?  Is it Standard Cost?  If so, the finished parent item will go into inventory at that cost when you have completed manufacturing.  That "cost" info you see is what i would call "budgeted cost" at the time the WT was created.  It is not actual costs until you issue material.

Thank you for the reply.  The issue we have is pre release of the WT.  During estimation, the prices are wrong and we need to get the budget corrected before the WT can be released (raw materials were updated after estimate started).  We do complete/close at standard cost.
