Are you importing to Production Management?  And if so, which version?

Yes, production management. Sage 100 Advanced 2022 Version 7.10.2.0

For that version you would just need to set the TemplateText field in PM_Template.  The Extended Text is stored the same as the Extended Descriptions for Inventory Items.  The business object will handle everything for you when you set TemplateText with the full text string.

Steve, I think I need to know special characters for line breaks, skip lines, etc. Do you have this info?

Steve, for some reason the special characters are not working for me. I've tried several variations with no luck. It doesn't recognize any of them. Chr, \n, etc. Any advice?

Edit your source data and put a "^" character (without the quotes) wherever you want to have a line feed.

Then point a Temp field at that column.

Use a calculation to set the description value.
