Bill of Material

I have been on Mas 200 with Job Ops for about a year and a half. I am now attemtping to have our engineering department maintain the BOM for each parent item that is engineered. I face 3 issues with this -

 

1) Change - sometimes this is hard

2) When a new item is created and a part needs to be purchased pior to the completion of the full BOM we are currently maintaining a paper trail - I feel that this part can immediaely be structured to the BOM whick will allow the CEM report to show the need - I would like to confirm this?

3) When the full BOM is completed and put into the BOM module - is there any type of alert to notify us that it is done?

 

Also, is there anyone who uses AUTO CAD and imports the BOM from that software directly into Sage?
