We are looking to automate our order releases through batch printing at timed intervals in the near future.  Currently, we use a signal in the comments of an order when an order is READY TO PRINT (RTP) so that our finance team can review the customer account, determine credit worthiness, and then print the order to one of three warehouses for fulfillment and invoicing.  

We would like to remove this process of having to look at every order and use the system to flush the orders out at regular intervals throughout the day (say every hour or so) .

My question is this:   sometimes sales reps are not done adding to an order.  Is the SALES ORDER ENTRY HOLD status the best way to control what will print and what will not if we do batch printing on a timed interval?
