A company currently using MAS90 (don't know what version, but not a "Sage 100" one) is moving to Sage 300 later this year. 

They have a program that exports data to a CSV file, and one of the fields is referred to as a 'ship suffix'.  The controller tells me that this is a system maintained field (1 char, it seems - the sample data she sent has an 'S' in it, she says it normally begins at an 'A') that is incremented "when an order is changed".  

I'm not familiar enough with the Sage 100 architecture to know if this is an out of the box field that is maintained or if this has been added through some customization.

The questions (at last):

IS there some kind of field in that is used for tracking changes made to an order?  or maybe number of shipments ?  And if so, what triggers the change in the value of the field?
