Add a column in BIE? Help, I am not that smart!

SUGGESTED

I am trying to make a custom report in Business Insights Explorer that shows:

Item Code

Item Description

Product Line

Quantity on Sales Order

Total Quantity on Hand

But I cannot link a "Qty. on Sales Order" column to the rest of the report.
It seems I cannot link columns from the Sales module to the Items module.

Is there a way to do this?

I am just trying to compare what our daily production / warehouse needs are compared to what we have in our warehouse.

We are a small family company, and a report like this would help so much!

Thank you!

    Greetings,

The BIE Views for Inventory do not have a data source for the Sales Order table(s). You are not going to be able to do this without contacting a Sage 100 Development Partner to modify the BIE View source and add a Sales Order Data Source to the BIE view(s) where you want to display the Sales Order information.  Likewise, the Sales Order Views don;t have a data source for the Inventory Items.

Instead of BIE, consider creating a custom Crystal report where you can link the tables together that you need to create the report.

    Thanks,

    Kent

Another option is to use Sage Intelligence Reporting to create your own unique report.  You can find Sage Intelligence Reporting and Crystal classes on Sage U.

Hi - I've had help from our representative and now have a solution! It is possible, just hard to navigate.

While in the BIE Item View by Warehouse Module, clicking on a single item, then closing its filter lets you add several more columns in the Edit Column tab (for some reason). We were able to add Qty on SO and many others to the report.
