VI Job for work order transactions - Job validations contain obsolete file references that no longer exist in the dictionary. Job will be deleted.

SOLVED

Client is currently on Sage 100 2016.  We are in the process of updating to 2018.

Client has an import job for work order that I created many years ago.   As I recall it was a particularly difficult import to create.  It still works nicely and is used on a daily basis.

However client had some questions about doing some modifications to it.  Unfortunately when I try to open it with import maintenance I get "Job validations contain obsolete file references that no longer exist in the dictionary.  Job will be deleted."

Reviewing the Knowledgebase the only reference I can find for this relates to payroll imports but it does seem to be on point to what I am seeing.  KB 34795.  Resolution appears to be to delete the offending validation records in the VI job.  Unfortunately you have to open it in import maintenance to do that which results in the job immediately being deleted.  :(   Luckily I had backups so I could recover the job.

I can't find the VI Job in an earlier version of Sage 100, so it would appear that it was created in the 2016 version.

I can't even get a printout of the import so that I could potentially recreate it because I can't open it.

Would appear I need to be able to edit the import indirectly in a way similar to DFDM or an alternate method of printing out the design.

If I have to recreate this entirely from scratch,  I fear I may need to resort to drugs.

Suggestions?
