Not with UDT validation.  As soon as you click that radio button (on the Validation tab) it changes your UDF to forced Uppercase.

However, if you change your validation to a List instead of the UDT (with the same list for all company codes), that should enable the checkbox to uncheck the Uppercase option for the UDF.

Thanks, I was just trying to make it easier to update the validation list.  It's easier with a UDT because you don't have to get everyone out to update the UDFs.

You could throw a post validate event script on the UDF being validated.

Do a simple GetValue and then pass the variable the value was received into to oScript.Evaluate("CVS(""" & Replace(<variable name>, """", """""") & """, 256)"), then deactivate the script procedure, use SetValue, then reactivate the script procedure.

I bet your UDT only has 1 field.  In my test, if the UDT only has 1 field at the time of creation, that field (key) isn't marked as uppercase.  If the UDT has at least 2 fields, the key field is marked as uppercase.  The key field should always be uppercase.  It is a defect.  It will be fixed in the next version.
