2022 upgrade - Sage intrusion - overall appearance

We recently upgraded from 2019.  We replaced the "welcome" image with our company banner.  We felt that gave a more professional appearance throughout the company.  We could also update our company through an easily managed text box we embedded into the html.

How can we do that with 2022.  It appears Sage is now controlling the desktop with an html page driven from their site.  Many of my people are uncomfortable with the array of photos of people staring at them.  They (and I) constantly catch the photo out of the corner.  I don't know what the others do, by I am constantly trying to keep the photos covered.

Further, 90% of the textual data is irrelevant to my staff.  I want my messaging to my team, not Sage advertisements for services we do not require.  We've been back and forth about moving to a new platform.  This just might be the straw if we cannot regain control of our desktops.

This also has me wondering if our login or other activities will be affected the next time our internet goes down.

We've had this question in the past too (customizing the welcome screen), but not for 2022 yet (probably because those customers have not upgraded yet).  A system option to always use the local HTM file would be appreciated.

There is not a way to disable the Information Center Page.  However, you can add an additional web content via the Launcher. You could add your company page. The last tab open is sticky so that on a subsequent login to Sage 100 users will be presented with your customized page not the Sage Information page.  Users would only see the Sage Info page if the clicked on the tab.

Thanks for the idea, but I cannot find a way to add my site.  I was able to add a tab for sage city, but that's not much better.  I tried running the launcher from windows; none of the launcher files would activate anything.

Secondarily, can I "push" it to all computers?  I'm assuming it would only be active on mine if I can get it to work.

You should be able to add your page to Public Favorites

    • Edit web content (Select Web Content and right-click in the white-space and select 'Edit Web Content'
    • Create New link; set with either http(s)://url or x:\path\ etc if local.
    • Save the new link, close the Edit web content dialog.
    • Go to Favorites, then select Public Favorites.
    • Switch to back the Web Content navigation page, right click on the newly added link and select add to favorites.
    • All clients should launch the new page from Public Favorites. If this page is active when the launcher is closed, it will be the active page on restart.

Too bad we have to spend time figuring this out. The router is always a solid option.
