PO UDF Not Available for data entry

I have a series of UDF’s that I use in PO data entry to capture added shipment and related data. I have the UDF’s on a 5th tab in PO data entry. I have had this system in place since 3.71. I upgraded to 4.50.7.0 in December and since that upgrade the UDF fieldsare grayed out on entry. Move forward or back and then return to the target PO and they are available. I had similar problem in upgrade from 3.71 to 4.x in 2004 and found solution on BestTalk – but that is no longer available and have not found similar problem/solution on current user platform.

i use UDF's in similar fashion in IM and have not had same issue.

Did you run the customizer utilities in Custom Office?

Since you already ran "Update Custom Panels to Current Level" and "Rebuild Customizer Log", I would try right-clicking the Purchase Order panel and select reset.

If that doesn't fix it, i would add a "dummy" UDF to the panel.

If that doesn't work, delete the UDF's from the panel and re-add them to the panel. The UDF data is stored in the PO_PurchaseOrderHeader table, so you won't lose the data by removing the UDF from the panel.

Update the UDFs for that table in UDF Maintenance.
