How to Import data from SQL to Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90)

I am working on a Sage 100 (MAS 90) Visual Integrator Job and trying to upload data from SQL.

I created the ODBC connection, but I can't pick the database. Does anyone know how to select the SQL database once the ODBC connection is connected to the the SQL Server?

I believe that it pulls a list of all tables from every database available in your DataSource. If you have the following:

db1: table1, table2

db2: table3, table4

It will show you:

table1

table2

table3

table4

It may depend on what ODBC driver you are using, but you should have an option in ODBC admin to "Change the default database to" something. If you are working with one SQL database, you should be able to enter it there.

If you are using a connect string, you should have a DATABASE=MyDbName within your connection string.

(MyDbName is the SQL DB you are trying to access)

One work around would be to use Access as a go between. Link the tables into an Access database and then setup a DSN for the database.
