Hi,

We have created a UDF called "Ref Designator" in the BOM Detail table. This field is a string type that can be up to 1,000 characters long. 

As it should, MAS lets us enter values up to 1,000 characters on the BOM Detail table. Problem is, once any item on a bill has a Ref Designator code longer than a few hundred characters, MAS gives us an error when we try to view the bill in indented mode in BOM Inquiry. The error is as follows:

"Report output exceeds printer width or the record length was exceeded on a file write operation."

Ref Designator is not displayed on BOM Inquiry, so this seems like a bug. Any ideas how to get around it? The Inquiry module is obviously a standard part of MAS, so I don't think I can access the code.

We are using version 4.4. Thanks for any help.
