I have recently used Sage Alerts (Knowledgesync) to do exactly this by sending e-mail alerts for a client. We have alerts going out multiple times per day for various buyers based on product lines and vendors. Works very nicely.

I do not see Sage Alerts, where is this located?

If you print or preview the job log with Print Log Detail checked these lines will be reported with a warning. eg 'WARNING! The quantity ordered exceeds the'. Notice the message is truncated, in 100 UI this condition pops the dialog 'Entry Exceeds Quantity Available'. Currently the summary does not report warnings nor can you select to see only warnings on the log. Perhaps a request for better visibility of warnings on VI jobs is needed.

Sage Alerts and Workflow is a third party business monitoring software that has become quite popular for sending out alerts and reports.

it shows that Alerts is Compatible With: Sage 100 ERP [MAS 90 and 200], Versions 3.71 , 4.0 , 4.05 , 4.1 , 4.2 , 4.3 , 4.4 , 4.45 , 4.5 , 2013

we are currently on 4.5 but are in the process of upgrading to the 2014 version 5.1 is the Alerts not Compatible with newer versions?
