Bill Revision Number Blank in Copied Sales Order

SOLVED

We have a custom Crystal Reports sales order form which prints the bill of materials option category descriptions for each line item - which is pulled from the BM_BillOptionCategory table. In order to grab this information, I need to link the SO_SalesOrderWrk and the BM_BillOptionCategory tables using the BillNo (ItemCode) and Revision fields.

This report works great for sales orders that have been created "from scratch" or copied from another active order. But, we often copy historical sales orders as the basis for new ones. The issue is that when we copy from a historical order, using: Sales Order Entry > Copy from..., the Revision field for each item is left empty. (I have verified this on the Sales Order Entry screen and using DFDM.) The result is that the custom form leaves the option category descriptions blank - since it can't link the two tables - so the output is a form with line items and a bunch of mysterious two-character codes.

(We are running Sage 100 2014 (V5.10.6.0).)

This seems to be an issue with Sage 100's ability to copy from one type of record to another (this does not happen when copying an active order). Unfortunately, the revision number cannot be changed without deleting the line item and adding it again. This issue isn't the end of the world, but it creates a lot of tedious work and is easy to forget - we have sent quotes to customers in this state and it looks very unprofessional! I was curious if any of you have run into this and have found a solution?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!
