If you physically go into the Excel file every day, you could put a macro in the Excel file to save it as a CSV file. This would save a few steps.

For those who know VB Scripting well - is there a way for VB scripting to open the Excel file and save it as a CSV file and then open up the CSV file to import?

sorry let me clarify:

we get an excel file (2 times a day). Currently, one of the team members goes to the Visual Integrator and imports the file (i believe) via the Import Job Maintenance (e.g. they select the excel file, perform job maintenance, etc).

i wanted to help automate this process.

from what i understood there might be two ways to do so:

1. using the pvxwin32.exe to run the visual integrator something like what is described here: KB Article 19387.

--> here i do not know how to specify file to be imported, nor how to perform next steps.
