Hi,

I was trying to write a crystal report, where it would show all PO's open or closed, and allow the user to enter a PO date range and item number and then get detail list of all PO's open or closed for that item that included qty and dollars.

it seems that our system is set to 60 days to Retain Completed PO's ( PO_PurchaseOrderHeader and PO_PurchaseOrderDetail)

i see that the PO's after this time ends up in PO_ReceiptHistoryHeader and PO_ReceiptHistoryDetail.

my Question, what are the Pro's / Con's of making  DAYS TO RETAIN COMPLETED PO'S TO 999 days ??

I was hoping that i could make this change to 999 and then just write my crystal report off of PO_PurchaseOrderHeader and Detail to get the information we needed, be it a closed order or open.  We would rarely need to do a date range going back 2 years also.

any thoughts would be great.
