Enhanced Auto Complete in version 2017

I just upgraded a client, reviewed the upgrade guide and it listed enhanced auto complete to look at all words instead of just at the beginning.  I found a KB article that said to run the utility to build the search index and I go to do that and got a message that this feature is only available to Sage100c clients.  Why doesn't it state that in the upgrade guide or in the new features?  I keep finding features listed as new and  when I go to test them they are available on my system (with a reseller's reg keys), but not on a clients.  There should be a list of features that are available to standard Sage clients that are not subscription or Sage100c.  It's impossible to find what features are available or not until you are working with a client.  Either make all features available or state that they are only available for Sage100c subscriptions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • New features are only available for Sage 100c.

Not all new features. I have found some that are available for on-premise clients. Such as search for blank fields, cancel printing, extended item descriptions and commodity codes for misc items, prior and next calendar buttons, larger font on reports,

We were told on numerous occasions by various Sage personnel the "c" versions (100 and 300) would be were all new features would be available and the other version would only have updates to keep them compatible with operating systems.

So were we, but I've seen several of the new features in clients that I upgraded. It's impossible to tell from their documentation which are just in "c" and which are in the on premise versions.

This type of thing is indeed very poorly communicated. A clearly defined difference within the product documentation, help files... something, should be available for such feature limits to the 100c product.
(And to be clear, not all new features are 100c only. As an example: v2017 added ACH cash receipts, which is not limited to 100c... and when Payroll 2.0 comes out on new framework, we've been told it will be for 100 and 100c).
