How to add a link to a web site to my task.
We have a third party developed application we are using for a Sage 100 add-on.
They provide a link to a web site with a number of manuals and videos. I could download the manuals add them to the pdf folder and add them to my task. What would be better would be to just add a link to the URL with all of the manuals.
To work around this I found that I could add a link to any program and give it a name like "Developers Manuals" then modify the MNUTASKP.INI file from:
Developers Manuals=*c:\temp\someprogram.exe
to
Developers Manuals=*www.developer.com/.../home.html
Now if the developer updates the manuals we have access to the latest information not old manuals that I downloaded a year ago.
You will have to logout and back in after making the change to MNUTASKP.INI. This changes the public task only.
