Sage 100 works, and then it stops working. No valid servers found or Sage 100 ERP is not set up properly

We have Sage 100 installed on a remote desktop server.  It's been working for a couple of months, now every 2 or 3 days, the Sage 100 client stops working and I get one of two errors.  It says either "No valid servers found" or "Sage 100 ERP is not set up properly".

On the Sage 100 Host (We run as application and not a service), I see one or more "Windx spawn: Connection failure for port XXX"

Users who happen to have Sage 100 already open, can continue to work with no problems, but it won't launch any new client sessions from that remote desktop server.  IF I run the client from another workstation, it runs totally fine.

The only solution I have so far is to boot everyone off of the remote desktop server, uninstall the sage workstation and then install it again.  Any one else encounter this??

  • Other than the Sy_console and Sy_workstation files have you tried to rename and recreate Locate and Sessions dot pvk files? That's fairly standard stuff but it may point out a larger issue with corruption on the server (KB# 19875). Have you turned off PEP? There's a note about that in KB# 103582 that mentions PEP (I always turn that off immediately after every installation).
