Sage 100 ERP 2013 - Printer not activated, error code -30

SUGGESTED

Hello,

At my company, I'm seeing an odd error for just one user - we're all using the same server through thin clients - rather than individual computers.

"Printer not activated, error code -30"

This has just surfaced and I'm unsure which route to take since I don't want to have to start digging into the registry or uninstalling software when only one user has this issue, unless it's absolutely necessary.

I've confirmed that this user has signed out and has tried quitting Sage - no effect so far. They were also able to create PDFs through Sage and print them outside of Sage, which is how I've asked them to work until this issue is resolved.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I know the particulars are a bit specific in my case with the version of Sage I'm using and the way it's setup.

Yes, I would. Also look at the KB that provided a link to. You need to make sure that Registry Key gets created. I think John Nichols has weighed in on this previously, but my experience has been that some Windows Updates blow away that Registry Key. Reinstalling the PDF Converter should put it back.

All of the KB articles related to the problem are safe to try if you follow the instructions.  We usually start with the registry edit (documented in other KB entries), then basically do what's in that one you linked.

If someone has installed the Amyuni update, there is an article related to how that could be uninstalled.
