Setting up my testing environment (test => prod) and performance is unberably slow. Typing in an item code in inquiry has a multiple-second delay between key presses and seeing letters. Search-while-typing is enabled, as it is in in my live 2018 installation.
Sage 100 2021.1 (service pack 1) Premium: Server 2019 Hyper V host, running a Server 2019 VM with 24GB of RAM allocated and 8 cores. Server was configured new just for this installation.
SQL Server 2014: Server 2019 Hyper V host, running a Server 2019 VM with 12GB of RAM allocated.
Both VM's are on the same metal and are run through the same virtual and physical NICs.
I removed the SOTAMAS90 DSN from my workstation, which may have improved login time minimally but is not impacted module open speeds or performance of module once open.
Running Sage desktop directly on the application server does not increase performance.
Ping times from my workstation to the application server, and also application to the sql server host, are all consistently <=1ms.
I'm currently rebuilding the search index, which I have some hope will fix the slows... but in the meantime, since that is on hour 2 of it's routine, I figured I would reach out here and see if anyone has some experience with with this issue. If the rebuild fixes the issue, I'll update the thread.
