Sage 100 2021.5 running on a Hyper V Server 2019 instance, 8cores and 24gigs of RAM. The server presently serves no other funcdtions other than some very light IIS tasks. CPU and RAM usage is minimal throughout the day. Sage is connected to SQL Server 2017 on Hyper V Server 2019, 16cores and 20gig of RAM. Same host. Networked over 10g/SFP connections. Everything is stored on SSD's/ 

Performance when keying invoices etc is abysmal. I've turned off auto complete for the data entry staff, but even just opening Inventory Inquiry has slow search performance, way slower than 2018 was (which ran on bare metal....). I can finish typing an entire part number and the entry box will remain mostly blank, then fill in all the text after about 2-3 seconds. 

I've rebuilt the search index, which does help, but its' still not nearly as fast as before. 

Virus scan has an exclusion set for the Sage directory on the workstation and on the server. 

I'm having trouble figuring out if the bottleneck is Sage or SQL...
