Restore Sage 100 erp data to alternate location for testing

In the process of testing our backup and restore system and was looking for a knowledge base article or other documentation that describes the process of restoring MAS data from backup to an alternate location on the MAS server and viewing this data. We don't want to overwrite existing data.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Are you using basic or advanced?

If its basic. simply restore the MAS90 folder to another file location, then run the wksetup.exe from the wksetup folder.

We are using Sage 100 Standard ERP 2013 Version 5.00.1.0.

If you're instructions still apply for this version, do we when we are ready to revert back to "live" data, just run wksetup again from that location?
