Accounts Receivable invoice number field size in Sage 100 ERP

Hello,

Has anyone purchased/recommend a third party solution that increases the Accounts Receivable invoice number field size from 7 to a larger field size for Sage premium 100 ERP? If so, is there additional AR functionally included?

Get with ASI Focus at http://www.asifocus.com/ They created a solution that replaced the first character of the invoice with a letter expanding the number of unique invoice numbers.

Thanks for information but it is not about having enough invoice numbers, it is about being able to import 8 digit invoice numbers into the system from an existing system.

Not possible. It is not possible to increase the length of the invoice field through any means.

Can you import the last 7 numbers then use a UDF to store the "real" invoice number?

I would just create the next invoice in Sage 100 and then, as Dawn mentioned, use a UDF to store the full invoice number.

You can add the UDF to statements, invoices, reports, invoice data entry screen, invoice history inquiry screen, etc.
