What size is the monitor and what is the resolution?

windows 7?  right click desktop, hit personalize, then display, and put text size back to 100%.  that'll do it.  then after a day, you'll decide you can do without the buttons because you'd rather be able to read the text in windows.   (also, the buttons are there, just the bitmaps don't show, for example, you can still get in the master console if click the correct blank button... just hold the mouse over it for a few seconds, it'll say what it is.)

I ran into this as well, and like benc mentioned, setting the text size back to 100% did the trick. The customer's settings was 125%

I also wanted to mention that setting it to 150% also worked. Just wanted to make sure folks knew that was an option.

Resolution every time.
