Hello,
I am preparing myself for the eventual migration to MAS 4.5. I have created 2 test servers to facilitate this process in understanding how it works, what will break and what we will need to do for a smooth production migration.
The first test server is a clean install of MAS 200 SQL version 3.7 with production files, MAS_SYSTEM database and 1 Company database restored to it.
The second test server is a clean install of MAS 4.5 SQL and update 7.
The issue I’m having is that when I go in to the MAS 4.5 workstation and choose Pre-migration under Library Master Utilities, and point it to the source path of the MAS90 directory on test server running 3.7, I get an “Error #12: File does not exist (or already exists) File: SY0CTL.SOA. This file does not exist (searching for the file in the MAS90 directory from the Server Console) in the clean install nor does it exist on the production server that I will eventually migrate from. I have read a couple posts referencing a “SVXBLD” command but this does nothing from PVXWIN32.EXE or from File > Run in MAS Workstation 3.7 on the test server says “This option is not available in the SQL Environment”.
All the upgrade documentation I’m reading says I need to run the pre-migration utility before migrating any data over. So I’m kind of at a loss here on what I’m supposed to do. Is there any reason why this file wouldn’t exist?
Thanks!
