sage ebusiness web services Install

SUGGESTED

I am about to install  ebusiness web services, but was wondering if it has to be installed on the same system as the Mas system.

I am wanting to install the software on our current IIS, but not sure if this is possible.

Any input on this would be of great help.

Thanks

Eric, eBusiness Web Services runs under IIS so it must be installed on the IIS Server.  There are also some prerequisites such as SSL, .NET 4.0, etc.  Be sure to utilize the eBusiness Web Services Installation and Reference Guide - it should walk you through preparing the server and install.

Correct I understand that it has to be installed on a system with IIS, but does that system also have to running the Mas system also?

I remember reading something about it having to be the same, but to me that would be a large security hole.

Right now our current webserver (Windows 2012 R2, with IIS) is in a DMZ, and this is where I would like to install the eBusiness Web Services.

    Thanks

I located this excerpt from the install guide ...

"eBusiness Web Services must be installed on the same machine where your Sage 100 ERP installation resides.  Internet Information Services (IIS) must be installed before installing eBusiness Web Services"

    Hey Eric,

I am working with a company who are working on the same install as well. We are stuck at the end of page 6 on the web services manual and need someone to start working on the programming. Any suggestions on how to find someone who has experience with it?

    Thanks,

I have tried installing on two servers and the install prevents it.  Sage 100 (aka MAS 90 and MAS 200), ISS and Web Services must be on the same server.

The install detects if it is not installed that way and will stop the install.
