You know the movie "Die Hard" when Bruce Willis yells out the window "Welcome to the party pal", same here. It has been an annoyance for years. No one is really sure why.

Do you know if anyone has ever logged this as an issue directly with Sage?  If seems like it should be a quick and easy programming fix.

I think that applying the following registry setting fixed the problem on my machine, which is Windows 7 64 bit.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]

"ForegroundLockTimeout"=dword:00000000

I've noticed that issue for ages.  

That being said,  I just checked and the value in mine was 0 and mine is not currently showing that annoyance.   However,  when I changed the value,  it did not seem to make any change?  Possibly requires a reboot to take effect?   Don't know.

My original value for this was 30d40. I don't think that I had to reboot for it to take effect, but it was too long ago to know for sure. The change fixed some other weird focus issues too, but not all of them.

I've had that fix work like a charm sometimes and sometimes not.

I've noticed that local PC right's have an effect. On my workstation (admin) it stays focused but on user workstations with std rights it does not stay focused.
