Direct Deposit Email Problem

I have set up my Paperless office to email using the gmail relay SMTP system

Per the gmail instructions for relay of email. the SMTP address is smtp-relay.gmail.com port 465

using SSL. I have my gmail user name and password. I have set up my gmail account to allow relay, and POP/SMTP from outside sources.

During the processing of payroll, I get about 2/3rds through the emailing of Direct deposits, and an error pops up unable to acquire smpt.gmail.com

certainly gmail and sage do not work well together.

I do not have the option of an in house smtp server for my email.

Is there another email relay option available?

    Just dealing with this exact issue....so far as I could tell this is not so much an issue with Sage as it is with mail providers implementing security measures to prevent spam. In most cases if you are sending only one or two outbound emails you won't run into a problem provided you have configured the email properly (server name, etc).

    In my case we were able to send 40 emails via Gmail before it blocked with "too many logins" and we were advised to try again in an hour or so.

    Some people in my 90 Minds Group have recommended SMTP2GO which is not free but reportedly will allow you to send multiple consecutive emails without being blocked.
