Sage Exchange Crashing/Corrupting repeatedly?

Client on Friday could not process credit cards on two workstations (all other computers could).   Upon looking at the system tray I noticed that the Sage Exchange Icon was not present.

Used the knowledgebase article on uninstalling and reinstalling sage exchange.  The workstation now allowed us to process credit cards again.   I left,  satisfied that all was well.

Later in the day, I get a call indicating that both of these computers could not process credit cards again.

Today,  went onsite again noted the exact same situation, so repeated the uninstall/reinstall process and credit cards were working again!!!   However, as we were talking about it, we watched the Sage Exchange icon disappear before our eyes and once again no ability to process credit cards.  So apparently something is shutting it down and/or corrupting the files.

Couldn't spot anything that suggested that a virus scanner might be disabling it (and if it were that, I would think that all workstations would go down).   Windows error logs and virus scanner logs don't show anything obvious.   So far no known commonality on anything happening to these computers last week.  Next step will probably be to try a windows restore point.

Anyone seen anything like this?
