Sage 100C version 2016 new user interface menus

I could have sworn when I was at the convention this summer that I heard that menu items that you are not authorized for will no longer be displayed. And on top of that I could swear I actually saw that happening at one time.

However, as I am experimenting with it now, I'm not seeing that effect.

Am I imagining that I heard that was the case or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

Are you using the new desktop launcher? This feature is only available with the new launcher.

I tested the same thing briefly. I found it only worked if I logged in with one ID, then switched to another without closing the Sage desktop. Then the second ID's restricted modules are hidden.

Elliott - most definitely the new launcher. Little disappointing that you can't get it in both places, however at the moment I'm not seeing it in either.

Kevin,

Confirmed what you found. I would say that is most definitely a bug. Feature is pretty much worthless in this scenario. Are you listening Sage?

Tom,
Verify you activated your new product keys for 2016.
If you did activate your new keys and having an issue, submit a Support Ticket with your steps and we'll examine.

Verified new activation keys in both a Sage 100 Std and Sage 100 Adv. Both were upgrades from 2015.

New menu system is present (which I assume is activated by the new keys), just not hiding non-authorized functions unless you log in once and then switch to a different log in.

Logged a support ticket.
