Upgrading several versions

We are currently on Sage 100 Advanced 2013 with no third-party customizations and looking to get up to 2016. Are there any advantages to doing so one step at a time (first 2014, then 2015, then 2016) or is it better to do just the one conversion? I'm working with people who don't handle change very well and I was thinking the smaller steps would let them get accustomed better before changing further. Any thoughts on this are both appreciated and values. Thanks.

One step and get it over with. One change is better than three changes - less is more in this case.

You should really work directly with your Re-seller for an upgrade.

There is no benefit to upgrade to each of the intermediate versions from v2013. I would go directly to v2016. That said, my recommendation would be a "test migration" to v2016; giving you the chance to set up new user security; and give users the opportunity to test the new version. Once testing is completed, on a scheduled date, you can re-migrate your company data.

There is not much visual change, most comes in the way of being able to do more. I would also suggest going from 2013 to 2016. Honestly if I put you in front of 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 you would not be able to tell the difference at first glance.
