•Select the Company to configure Email for
•Navigate to the Email tab
•Fill in the following values: ◦Address: outlook.office365.com
◾(Formerly smtp.office365.com)
◦Port: 587
◦SMTP Encryption: TLS/StartTLS
◦UserID: <User Email address>
◦Password: <User Email Password>
◦128-bit Encryption Checkbox Selected

•Click Test Email to Verify Functionality

Should this work for Sage 100 Advanced?

I've set it up before but I think it was for Standard. Trying to do it for advanced and it rejects the user name and password (confirmed to be accurate by logging into the office365 website directly.

I ran across some older posts suggesting that you have to set up an smtp relay for a server based application (which Advanced would certainly qualify for).

Am I on the right track?

I haven't ran into that issue - it isn't this error is it?

Testing of email fails in Company Maintenance using Office 365 and the error log contains 535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful

Cause

The email account is not an Administrator or the wrong password is being used

Resolution

The email account used in the setup must meet the two conditions for successful use: 1.It is setup in Office 365 as an Administrator
2.The correct password is entered on the email tab of Company Maintenance. You can verify this by testing the login on the Office 365 Online website.
