Time Card to Business Framework -- When is it coming out?

That pesky Product Manager is at it again!  We’ve been telling you since the 2018.0 release of Sage 100 and Sage 100cloud that we would be coming out with an update to the TimeCard module with the March 2018 product update.  We released the March Update on March 30th, but where is the information on TimeCard?  You can’t find the module in the module listing.  Did the update not make it into the release?

Not to worry!  The update is there.  We just took a slightly different approach with this update. Instead of simply updating the module in place, we determined it made more sense to move the options and tasks to where they made more sense – Payroll and Job Cost.  Oh, and just to further confuse the issue, we changed the name to Time Track Entry.

So, if you are looking for documentation on the new file structures and functions, you will find that information in the “What’s New” documentation under Job Cost or Payroll, and an Appendix in the PDF version of the documentation, with a listing of where all the tasks ended up.  There is a new sub-menu in each of those modules called “Time Track”.  There are also new options in the Setup Options task in those modules and of course, the associated Help files to guide you through how to use the new entry tasks and options.

The good news is, there’s a lot more flexibility, personalization capability, and open integration points behind the new design.  Now if we could just get that product manager to stop moving things around and confusing people!
